Benefit of Private Dog Boarding

Before you drop your precious pup off at a commercial kennel, you may want to consider a safer option. There are many problems with kennels, such as a lack of exercise or care, improper diets, contagious diseases (kennel cough being the most common), and unclean environments. In contrast to kennels, private dog boarding residences are disease free, clean, under constant supervision, and cageless.

With private dog boarding, your dog will stay in a home-away-from-home environment where they will receive plenty of love and care. They will be able to stick to their normal diet & exercise routine, as well as have the comfort of familiar toys or objects.

Private pet boarding homes are kept clean, and pet guests are required to have up-to-date vaccinations & flea and tick control (and in some cases, must be spayed or neutered). Pets are able to roam through a puppy-proof home, and are not restricted to crates. In these places, your doggie gets to have a vacation of his or her own, with plenty of love, care, and socialization.

Most private dog boarding residences are run by animal lovers that work from home. Pet hosts will often invite you to their home for you and your dog to visit, so you can see for yourself the type of environment your pooch would live in. These introductory visits also give you an opportunity for you and your dog to get to know the pet host, as well as the other pet guests, and ensure that this is the right place for your pup. Additionally, our pet hosts will not take in more dogs than they can properly care for. This goes to ensure that your dog has a safe and fun stay, so you can rest at ease.

Dog boarding is a great option for most dogs, but not all. If you have several dogs (more than three), dogs that are not social, or dogs that do not feel safe outside the home, you may want to consider alternative pet care while you are away, such as pet sitting visits.
