My name is Monika. I was born and raised in the small town of Abony, Hungary.My passion for animals began very early in life. As a child I ‘collected’ all the stray cats and dogs that could be found in or around Abony. Every time I came home with a new animal, my mother argued that we already had too many cats and dogs. Somehow I always won out and we’d take in one more pet. Later, I studied commerce, accounting, and business. Upon graduation, I wasn’t ready to enter the business world and traveled to Germany and England to study their languages. During that time, I dreamed of seeing more of the world – places like Africa, Asia, and Australia. I searched for an occupation that would allow me to do this and finally settled on photography. Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines hired me and the next two years were the most exciting time of my life. I sailed all around the world and visited more places than I had ever imagined. There was just one thing missing - I couldn’t keep pets. At the beginning of my travels, I had met Jeff, a very handsome and intelligent boy. He also traveled extensively with his work and we kept meeting up in every corner of the world, from Miami to Alaska to Venice to Singapore! After two years, we decided to get married and settle down in Jeff’s home in South Florida. For two years I managed the office of a beachfront hotel while studying such diverse subjects as Spanish and French language, website design and authoring, computer graphics and digital video editing. It was also great to be able to help a neighboring elderly couple take care of their dog. In January of 2005, the hotel owners informed they were closing the hotel and offered me a sales position with the high-rise condominium that would take its place. I had a decision to make.
I wanted a job that I really enjoyed and in line with my interests in life and simply not answer phones - a job that would allow me to work with animals. With my husband’s encouragement, I started a dog walking and pet sitting business. In April of 2005, we moved to East Hollywood where I committed myself to specialized service in the East Hollywood, Aventura, and Dania Beach area.
I continue my studies, now focusing on dog health, nutrition, and behavior. If you need a caring and reliable pet sitter or dog walker, I would be happy to assist you.

I have used DogsGoWalking for the past 2years. They are amazing! I have 4 dogs, 2 afghans, 1 standard poodle, and a Cavapoo. Not only have they been a reliable dog walking service, but before I found them I rarely went away and when I did my dogs would be boarded at a doggy day care with 50 other dogs. I hated that. Now Annette comes and stays in my home and even sleeps in bed with all of them. It has changed my life for the better. We originally called Monika to help train our dogs not to pull so hard while we were walking them. Being less in weight than our dogs we weren't sure if she'd be able to do it. Were we surprised! She is outstanding. We have her come back even though the dogs are now trained just because they love her so much! We highly recommend her service.
